Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a proven method for those with high emotional sensitivity and who are emotionally reactive. For teens and adults with high-risk behaviors, DBT is often the only intervention that works.
Individual Therapy
In your individual sessions, therapists use DBT as the intervention to help you apply the skills you learn in class. In between sessions, therapists instruct you to track your own emotions and behavior using the DBT Diary Card.
Our highly trained DBT team meets weekly to improve the motivation and abilities of our DBT providers. Clients have the benefit of the knowledge and experience of the whole team, in addition to their own provider.
Phone Coaching
When you or your teen has intense emotions or harmful urges, you can ask for phone coaching through a secure line. This is important when you need help in using a coping skill. The coaching most often includes helping you problem-solve efforts to cope.
Learn the five core skill modules of DBT. After each class, the skills trainer will give homework. This homework reinforces utilizing the DBT skill before the next class
